The highlight of my summer was participating in Dr. Meldrum's "Summer Slim Down" program. For four weeks Dr. Meldrum shared her knowledge of the health benefits by eating a whole food plant based diet, the importance of cardio and strength exercise, breathing properly, and being mindful in the present moment. This lifestyle challenge fueled me to continue to work on and improve all these areas. Dr. Meldrum helped me better understand, in an encouraging way, that working on my health goals take practice. By focusing on my successes in these different areas, no matter how big or small, helped me think in a more positive way and enjoy the journey of taking charge to improve my health. ~R.D.
